Alright

I remember looking at Jim’s letter prompts a few weeks ago and thinking of songs, but I obviously failed to write them down (December became a generally chaotic month). So last week, I took a glance through our music collection to look for something I have not heard for a while.

Do you remember the Britpop band Cast? I believe they were from Liverpool. They had a few big songs and this was one of them. It is called “Alright” and is rather merry really for a break up song. You may be as shocked as I was to realize this song was released a whopping twenty-five years ago! Where has the time gone?

If you recognise the lead singer – it is because he was in The La’s … no? Anyone? The silence is deafening. Don’t you remember the iconic song “There She Goes Again“.
