Where The Yellow Grass Grows Knee-High

Jim has asked us to use the theme colours for today’s Song Lyric Sunday. I realized there were scores of songs that I would love to feature. So I asked my nephew Wills to pick a colour. He picked yellow. That narrowed it down to eight songs I had on my list. So I asked my husband Robert to pick one of them.

I am pleased to say that it was Norah Jones who came out on top of the long list of songs I had thought of. This is a beautiful song, and I have to admit, I am enjoying more sedate music lately. There is a lot of stress around us. My friends who are educating their children from home during the lockdown are tired. We here of friends losing their jobs, being made redundant. I have felt at times when I need to switch off my anxieties and take a break from wearing so that I don’t lose my marbles. Music that relaxes us is one very enjoyable way to de-stress. Norah Jones is one artist who certainly helps me to unwind.
