Ara Single Estate Pinot Gris

Ara Single Estate Pinot Gris

A couple of months ago, I went to Waitrose to buy one of our favorite wines, and found that they had sold out. So after lurking in the wine aisle for so long I felt rather suspicious, I grabbed a couple of bottles that sounded tempting.

This New Zealand wine was surprisingly honey sweet to me. I don’t have a sweet tooth, but the citrus freshness in this wine kept it just on the border of very enjoyable with respects to my own palate.

Robert loved this wine and he has bought a couple more bottles since we discovered it. He does have a sweet tooth, so the hint of sweet fruits – necatarine and pear, and something ever so slightly floral went down extremely well with him.

If you like a light, fresh, and sweet white wine – look no further.
