I love that Jim is taking us through so many genres for Song Lyric Sunday, but I confess that I am rather daunted by some of them. Where to begin? I think my tastes have changed drastically over the years, and perhaps in my younger years I may have been able to enjoy metal rock more, nowadays, I prefer tunes that are more easy going. Yes, I do realize that this may be a sign that I am aging.

I have opted for a safe choice – Def Leppard. Robert has family all over Yorkshire, so I feel good about featuring one of the best of Sheffield’s exports. What an impressive repertoire they have, but I picked one of their best know tracks. I like the song…I like the way it expresses longing – just shy of creepy. It is a great rock track.
