Voignier Valle Del Bio Bio

I can not remember buying this wine, which makes me think that perhaps we didn’t. Many guests bring a bottle of their own and end up drinking the wines we have provided. So we often find odd bottles of wine in the pantry or wine cellar that we just do not recognize.

But we tried this stray bottle over the summer and we were rather pleased with it. What can we tell you about it? It is all the way from Chile. It is positively floral which means that when you do sip this wine, the aromas deliver a wonderful wave of pleasure. However the taste is less floral and more fruity. It is actually quite an interesting tipple. I could taste peach, but there is also a refreshing zingy edge to the wine which I enjoyed.

I think this wine is interesting enough to be enjoyed on it’s own. But if you are drinking it along with a meal, choose a light and mild dish so that you can dissect all the elements of this interesting wine.
