The Month That Was…Restful November

As we approach December, I find myself confused and disorientated “WHERE DID THIS YEAR GO?” It has positively flown by! I feel as if I have lost the past couple of months to illness. The good thing about that is that we are closer to spring than I realized. The darkness of winter is not something I am relishing as I try to build up my strength.

Obeying Doctor’s (and husband’s) orders, I have tried to rest more over the past couple of weeks. That has given me a little extra time to catch up with sorting out the many many foodie photographs I plan to share with you and schedule more posts for 2025 (2024 in the bag already).

Our nephew Wills is heading back to the UK for a month before he sets off on the next stage of his adventures – packing “educational travel” into his gap year. A nuisance driver persists in hurling profanity and directing lewd comments and offensive gestures towards commuters waiting at a bus stop. Melody has observed his repulsive behaviour several times and has even had the clear mindedness to take note of his vehicle registration, the name of the business he works for, and has taken some video footage showing his face quite clearly. I was horrified to hear of this. With admirable calm and rationality, Melody wrote an open letter which gives a flavour of the situation these commuters are facing:
