Instagram Heartbreak

Instagram Heartbreak

For over a year (I actually forget how long), I have had a side rustle going on in the form of Instagram. While I prefer WordPress on every level as a publishing platform, it would appear that there are just more people out there using Instagram.

It seems to be more of a quick bite / fast food sort of a platform as compared to what I see being published on WordPress. But, it would seem more people are preferring the fast food than they are the more solid meals I see here.

Whatever the platform you prefer to publish on, any content creator knows that almost as important as the attention you give to your own posts, it is vital to support others. Reading, liking, commenting – they are all a big deal on these platforms.

So, imagine how bizarre it is when the little heart function is broken. For over a week, I have been unable to “like” posts on Instagram. I cannot even “like” my own posts. If I press the little heart, a box appears stating “We restrict certain activity to protect our community”. Perhaps “liking” posts is some sort of nefarious activity that could have suspicious motives? I have reported the issue three times to Instagram, but so far…my Instagram is still heart-broken.

  1. Sorry to hear this but I rarely use Instagram …. They take ages to acknowledge any problems…. I find if it’s not doing what I want I walk away… I don’t use Facebook often either for the same reasons. …I always read you here.
I hope they listen to you soon and fix it 💜
